There are lots of posts regarding the differences between 318d and 320d - however most of them refer to pre 03/2007 builds. The 318d I have here uses the same N47D20 as the 320d engine and has: 105 kW (143 bhp) @ 4000 rpm. 300 N m (221 lb ft) @ 1750-3000 rpm. The same generation 320d has: 130 kW (177 bhp) @ 4000 rpm.

3 posts · Joined 2019. #1 · Jan 10, 2019. I'm driving BMW F30 318d and for last few weeks when I check my car with diagnostics I get fault 244800 that I can't remove. When I remove it pop up immediately. It says something like DPF is at end of lifespan or something like that, but I never have any dpf problems or light showing on.

I’ve got a 2017 318d sport touring @90k miles. It’s just been in for an MOT and come back with a couple monitor/repair notes…. 1) rear diff leak. 2) near side rear shock has light misting. They’ve said the shock can be monitored and possibly replaced in a year. The diff seal however needs to be actioned pretty soon to avoid further

1494 posts · Joined 2011. #4 · Aug 31, 2017. I have the F30 318d built September 2013. My engine as BMW informed me is the modified N47 T . My engine oil gets changed every 2 years or 17k as its on the maintenance bundle, so works out about 14k miles for me. I am not concerned with my engine, there are thousands on the roads, they don't all fail.
